The Crayola Experience is a household name for many Americans, known for the giant blue crayon, or activity studio to cut paste and craft fun characters, from rock stars to jungle explorers. 

Outside of Orlando, they also have a few other locations throughout the US including Plano, Texas, Chandler, Arizona, Easton, Pennsylvania and Mall of America, Minnesota. Kids really enjoy the hands-on, creative fun activities that Crayola offers.

Tree Trek Adventure Park 

 

If your kid enjoys monkey bars and jungle gyms at school playgrounds, Tree Trek Adventure Park will be a lovely place to have a birthday party. Taking all the climbing fun outdoors, Tree Trek Adventure Park is an aerial obstacle course with ropes, nets, ladders, and climbing (with support, of course) amidst the trees of a pine forest. The venue also hosts birthday parties that feature a zip line, picnic benches for cake and food, and access to the aerial obstacle course. 

While this venue is a great outdoor option, it can be on the more expensive end, and is definitely for the more adventurous child–versus someone who might be afraid of heights.

The RDV Ice Den offers various activities and attractions for adults and children on the ice. From figure skating to ice hockey, children will enjoy an ice-themed adventure while they glide across the venue’s well-kept ice rinks. 

While this would undoubtedly be a fun outing for some kids, if there’s a variety of interests, a venue that offers lots of different types of activities could be a better fit.

An international drive icon, Wonderworks Orlando offers an entertainment + educational experience for adults and children, with 100 different hands-on experiences. Each area offers families a different, interactive attraction, from the extreme weather zone to the space discovery zone. 

On top of the educational exhibits, kids will enjoy the adventure zone downstairs, where they can embark on a ropes course or laser tag. 

But, there are some drawbacks. A huge company like Wonderworks is often riddled with overcrowding – this could be stressful for both parents and children, and especially troublesome while COVID-19 is still around. It can also be somewhat expensive for events.
